Competition
If the problem owner and armasuisse S+T determine that no solutions currently exist or existing solutions do not adequately cover the need, an open search is conducted for possible solutions. The innovation space «Competition» is intented for this search for solutions. It enables to look beyond the traditional solution providers. The solution readiness level (SRL) can vary between level 1 (principle) and level 6 (Application demonstrator) here.
The development goes beyond theory (principle and idea), and the solution approach is examined both in the laboratory environment as well as in the simulated or the real operational environment. Ideally, a multi-level process is used. This multi-level concept ensures that only the most promising solutions will be included in the further process, combined with an increase in the degree of solution readiness.
